Description
TASTING NOTES
It presents a salmon pink color with coppery reflections and fine, persistent bubbles. The aroma is inviting and delicate, with notes of cherry, small red fruits, and citrus zest. On the palate, it is broad and elegant, fresh, juicy, and pleasantly fruity.
A bottle of good complexity, very versatile from a gastronomic point of view: Philipponnat recommends it both as an aperitif and with a meal, paired with smoked fish and white meats cooked with light preparations.
Founded in Champagne since the 16th century, the Philipponnat family began producing champagne wines during the Second Empire. The house experienced a boom from 1910, which was confirmed in 1935 by the acquisition of Clos des Goisses. The vineyards of the Philipponnat house are located in various villages, in the heart of the Premiers et Grands Crus of the region. The Clos des Goisses, a hill of five hectares facing south, stands out from other plots for the exceptional quality of its vines.
