DESCRIPTION OF THE SOMMELIER

Ruinart's Brut Rosé has been able to carve out an important place for itself in the world of Champagne, by virtue of its unmistakable style which stands out for creaminess and richness . Defined by the maison itself as the gourmand expression of the Ruinart taste, the skilful balancing of the cellar's cuveés have given life to a product of extreme elegance and conviviality. The history of the Maison Ruinart actually coincides with that of Champagne, being in fact the oldest maison de Champagne , founded in 1729 by Dom Ruinart, a Benedictine monk and forerunner of the times. From this moment on, the winery undertook constant qualitative and productive growth, also supported by the presence of particularly talented Chefs De Maison in each generation.

Ruinart's Rosé Brut comes from an assembly made up of 55% Pinot Noir and the remaining 45% Chardonnay, from vines mostly classified as Premier Cru. After the harvest which took place manually in order to select only the best bunches, the fermentation takes place in steel containers and is followed by the malolactic fermentation. The dosage of 9 g/l is functional in giving the wine softness and persuasion .

Champagne Brut Rosé Ruinart fascinates as soon as it is poured into the glass by virtue of an antique pink color and a fine and persistent perlage. The nose is a real fruit basket, ranging from the more exotic ones such as lychee and passion fruit, to other red and crunchy ones such as raspberry and wild strawberry. A picture of clear complexity, which is also found upon tasting, however materializing in one greedy roundness enlivened by a good contribution of freshness and flavor. One of the best interpretations of Champagne Rosé, suitable for all occasions, from an aperitif based on cold cuts to salmon-based fish preparations, or for elegant end of a meal. Undoubtedly a must in its category.
