Deep ruby red color with fascinating violet reflections. On the nose, it reveals notes of licorice and graphite, vanilla, blackberries, blueberries, and black currants, accompanied by floral hints. The palate is simply perfect, complex, smooth, with mineral and fruity notes of great class, excellent freshness, and perfect tannins. Endless persistence.
PAIRINGS
Fortunate is the one who can afford to uncork more than one bottle of Pauillac Château Mouton Rothschild in their lifetime. It pairs well with refined and sophisticated dishes based on red meats or game. It is also magnificent when enjoyed alone, or perhaps with a good piece of Parmigiano Reggiano.
PRODUCER
Château Mouton Rothschild, owned by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, has been in the Rothschild family since 1853 when Baron Nathaniel acquired it at auction, renaming it with its current name. However, it was in 1992 that the destiny of the estate was marked when the baron's great-grandson, Philippe, took charge of the property, offering an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit in return. In this way, within a few years, Château Mouton Rothschild completely transformed: a modern and large cellar was built, over a hundred meters long, additional cru classé vineyard plots were acquired, and the commercialization and distribution of wines were implemented.
