The Champagne Moët & Chandon Brut Reserve Impériale it has been produced since 1869, and fully embodies the corporate style. Created with over 100 different wines, of which 20-30% reserve wines (cuvees from old vintages), it is made up of Pinot Noir (30-40%) which gives it structure, Pinot Meunier (30-40%) which it gives softness and Chardonnay (20-30%) which makes it elegant. The dosage is 9 grams per liter (the dosage for sparkling wines consists in adding the liqueur d'expédition, or syrup, during the dégorgement. The solution is made up of wine and sugar in variable percentages depending on the type of sparkling wine you want to obtain: between 6 and 12 g/l we are talking about Brut).
CHAMPAGNE MOET & CHANDON BRUT RESERVE IMPERIAL: THE TASTING
The Brut Reserve by Moët & Chandon enters the glass with straw yellow with greenish and golden streaks, and a fine and persistent perlage. The nose is a dance of aromas of fresh fruit and yellow flowers, mineral notes and fragrances of croissants and fresh walnut. In the mouth it is fresh and tasty, with hints of fruit and a caressing bubble. Suitable for any early evening toast, accompanied by delicious aperitifs, especially the 80's ones such as the traditional savory voulevants, salmon and caviar canapés or fake fish.
