The Champagne Brut "Cuvèe Saint-Petersbourg" is a dedication to the courage and tenacity of Madame Clicquot, who in 1814, despite the continental blockade that immobilized trade in Europe, managed to export it to the courts of St. Petersburg. Its bubble received a great success among the Russian nobility and this event consecrated the fortune of the Maison. In a short time his Champagne was already famous all over the world; the demand was very high and its quality was amazing. With this label, the Veuve Clicquot winery wants to underline the glorious history that binds it to a past studded with successes, in which it is noted that already in the 1800s it was one of the most popular bottles on the globe.
Veuve Clicquot's Brut Saint-Petersbourg is obtained with the same blends of the Yellow Label label, in which Pinot Noir dominates, completed by Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, but the production method differentiates it, in fact it ages for 3 or 4 years on the lees , against 30 months for the Brut Yellow Label. It is therefore more evolved and fuller: the notes of vanilla, pastry and bread are more marked, but still perfectly integrated in a sip of great finesse and balance , where freshness divinely equals softness. In short, a historic Champagne, with a great tradition, which releases all the essence of Madame Clicquot.
