With cased BOX
The Destilería Colombiana was founded in 1913 by Don Julio Arango y Parra. The rones are distilled partly in a discontinuous copper alembic and partly in a continuous column. Aged in ex-bourbon barrels using the solera method.
TASTING NOTES:
Color: topaz with amber reflections. Nose: warm, oily. Perceivable immediately, the notes of sherries (rancio, fig, licorice) are supported by a particularly fine wood. Then, noble spices (saffron, cumin) and candied fruit (peach, apricot) reinforce its warm character. It evolves on intoxicating flowers (honeysuckle, iris) and eucalyptus.
Mouth: alive, still. Exotic (pineapple, mango), it turns out to be equally spicy and salty. In the middle of the mouth, vanilla-bourbon and ripe fruit (mirabelle, pear) give it more lively accents. Notes of citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit) and mushrooms add intense nuances.
