The Alta Langa Brut "Cinquecento" by Vite Colte is a Classic Method sparkling wine of great elegance and freshness that comes from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines grown on the splendid hills of the Cuneo area . We are right in the heart of the famous Piedmontese sparkling wine denomination which in recent years has been enjoying growing and well-deserved success, baptizing Piedmont as a land suited to both great reds and surprising bubbles. The merit also goes to large wineries and cooperatives, such as Vite Colte, who have believed in the valorisation of this DOCG since the very beginning and, more generally, have contributed to the diffusion of the viticultural culture of the area. Today the Vite Colte cooperative, which can count on over 180 members, represents a model of quality production and a great point of reference for many regional realities. This pleasant and refined sparkling wine also bears witness to it, which perfectly embodies the most sought-after profile of Piedmontese bubbles.
The Brut "Cinquecento" Vite Colte comes to life from young vines that have their roots in ancient sedimentary soils of marine origin, covered by clays and layers of marl and sand. The rows rise between 500-600 meters above sea level and, taking advantage of the favorable environmental conditions of the area, give birth to bunches rich in aromas and flavours. The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes are harvested manually and vinified separately. After soft pressing, they are fermented at a controlled temperature until the following spring. The refermentation takes place in the bottle according to the dictates of the Classic Method and lasts for at least 30 months on the lees .
Alta Langa Vite Colte "Cinquecento" is presented in the glass of a straw yellow color with greenish hues, furrowed by a subtle and long-lasting perlage. On the nose it is fragrant and juicy, with aromas of bread crust, light bakery notes, floral essences, hints of citrus, white fruit and nuances of dried fruit. All its Piedmontese character emerges on the sip: decidedly fresh, gratifying and linear , teased by a delicate effervescence and savory-mineral nuances.
