The Cabernet Sauvignon Santa Cristina di Zenato is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and Franc (15%) grapes from vines over twenty years old grown on the southern shores of Lake Garda, in the municipality of Peschiera del Garda. A 3-week fermentation with frequent pumping over to facilitate the transfer to the skins is followed by a long period of aging in new and used barriques for 15-18 months, in steel for 3 months and finally in the bottle for 6 months. The nose reveals the typical herbaceous note of Cabernet, the palate is full-bodied, elegant, pleasantly sweet and with evident tannins.
