'Aglianico “Contado” Riserva is a historic wine for Di Majo Norante and for Molise. Di Majo Norante has been producing wines from its own grapes since the distant 1800s and has done so with a passion and a hereditary dedication that has been handed down first by Luigi and then by Alessio. We are in Molise, north of Gargano in the Ramitello district, on partly sandy soil, caressed in the summer by a gentle breeze; it is here that Alessio, a self-confident and unconventional man, has always tried to sacrifice oenological homologation in favor of quality and typicality. A continuous search for the recovery of vines in danger of extinction that has led Di Majo Norante to produce wines with personality by developing all their potential.
The goal of this important Molise company is to produce “new wines from ancient vines”, wines capable of offering a typical and harmonious expression of the reference terroir. The Aglianico “Contado” Riserva is this: a ruby red wine with an intense orange reflection; it is a wine with a vinous aroma that does not leave out ripe fruit; a soft, velvety, harmonious, balanced and pleasantly tannic wine. Aglianico “Contado” Riserva Di Majo Norante: the ancient culture of the winemaker man combined with modernity and the future.
